Elsamere is the former home of the Adamsons at the shores  of Lake Naivasha in Kenya. It is a nature lovers’ paradise with great varieo/ of bird life, wildlife and splendid flora.

Accommodation

Accommodation at Elsamere ensures that you have a tru!Y serene environment idealfor relaxing outside on the lawns or within the confines of your cottage or just enjoyinga good read.Each cottage has an ensuite bathroom, spacious and warm interior with a verandah providing you with views of Lake Naivasha.

Meals

Meals are prepared  by expert and experienced chefs and served on the verandah of the main house.Where possible, local produce is used  by our chefs and aim to cater for any dietary needs of our guests.

Day Visits

For those who wish to visit one of the most historical homes in Kenya.Elsamere is open from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm.You will be ushered to the museum housing the Adamsons’ collection of books, paintings and memorabilia  from the movie “Born Free”. You can watch a short documentary about their conservation work and later helpyourself to specialhigh tea if visitingin the afternoon.

Bird Watcher’s Paradise

Elsamere  is a bird watcher’s paradise with over 200 bird species. Here, you have a chance to experience the African Fish Eagle hunting while on a boat ride around the lake or enroute to the nearby Crescent Island, where you can walk amongst big game in complete safeo/.

Other birds at Elsamere include the red­ headed weavers, superb stirlings, pelicans,  pied &  malachite  kingfishers, horn bills and  parrots  among  many others.
