Encounter Mara , Masai Mara Camps , Kenya
Encounter Mara is a luxury eco-camp tucked away in a stunning valley in the exclusive Mara Naboisho Conservancy, a part of Kenya’s famous Masai Mara, and home to the great wildebeest and zebra migration. Designed for those seeking an authentic and unique safari experience, our intimate camp with only 12 guest tents is located in a private area, boasting astounding game-viewing. Each of Encounter Mara’s spacious tents features their own private veranda with a view over the surrounding savannah. Our staff members are the most important part of our organization and we are committed to their well being and development. We operate on principles of integrity and honesty, leading the way in sound business ethics and in benefiting surrounding communities.
Our expert Maasai guides have grown up in this magnificent corner of Africa and take great joy in accompanying our guests on a journey filled with breathtaking wildlife and cultural encounters. All our guides have been trained at the Koiyaki Guiding School and have attained their KPSGA Silver qualification. These qualifications, along with annually updated first-aid training means that you’re in capable, knowledgeable, and safe hands during your stay in the Mara.
Unique to Mara Naboisho Conservancy guests can enjoy bush walks and night drives, as well as the exhilarating game drives during the day. This gives a unique rhythm to a safari at Encounter Mara. Game drives will be conducted in Encounter Mara 4×4 open-air safari vehicles. Because of the regulations of Mara Naboisho conservancy, numbers of tourists will be limited. Therefore, guests will often find themselves with a private view of exquisite game, unhindered by the masses of safari vans one often finds in the Masai Mara Reserve.
