Entumoto Private Safari Camp stands elevated in the hills of a private and secluded escarpment, commanding breathtaking views and sunsets over the Mara plains.
Intimate and exclusive, it is designed to provide for your total comfort
in the heart of Africa. On the border of the legendary Masai Mara
reserve, we are privileged to be part of arguably the world’s most
spectacular wildlife sanctuary.
Entumoto Private Safari Camp stands elevated in the hills of the Megwarra escarpment, commanding breathtaking views and sunsets over the Mara plains. We are part of the Siana conservancy, on the border of the Masai Mara reserve, between the park gates Oloolaimutia and Sekenani.
Entumoto is an intimate, exclusive tented camp, designed to provide for your total comfort and the incredible sensation of being a part of this great
African wilderness – the open sky, the sounds and smells of the bush and its wildlife – in high security, day and night, provided by Maasai warriors, askaris and armed rangers.
The excitement of being in the heart of Africa. No fences and open to the far horizons – isolated space!
The sheer beauty of the experience, waking up in the early African morning, the sound of the birds calling, dew sparkling on the grass and the typical smell of woodsmoke on the air cleanses your very soul. After the often spectacular sunset, night falls and the sky, free from light pollution, shines with the starlight of millions of visible stars and the Milky Way.
You will experience this in a way you’ll never forget.
Luxury Accommodation
The tents, made of a multilayered canvas, are custom designed and set a hundred meters apart from each other for your privacy.
We offer 4 family tented suites, comprising two double or twin rooms, each with en-suite bathrooms and a central lounge with fireplace, comfortably furnished including two divans which could double as beds – in all, ideal for a family, although four adults and four children could be comfortably accommodated.
We also offer 5 double or twin tents, bathroom en-suite, perfect for couples.
Each tent has its own wide verandah on which, for instance, you can enjoy your early morning cup of tea or coffee , your relaxing afternoon upon the daybeds or your evening sundowners.
Children are welcome. Trained rangers enjoy showing them the bush. Four out of the nine rooms are family rooms, plus they have the rare pleasure of a swimming pool to keep themselves entertained.
Our minimum age policy for children is 7 years. Children over 12 years old are considered adult.
Meals
Breakfast consists of a full range of fruits and cereals. You may then order a cooked English breakfast of your choosing either in camp or out under a lone thorn-tree on the savanna plains.
Lunch a light affair – perfect for the heat of the day.
Pre-dinner drinks by the open fireplace in front of the dining room allows us all to share the adventures of the day.
Dinner is served at your convenience and is a delicious, varied 4 course meal.
We take pride in growing many of our own fruits and vegetables as we are organically minded and diet conscious – thus the chefs can create individual dishes for each of our guests according to dietary requirements.
Communication and power
Most of the time Entumoto is powered by solar batteries and we have a backup generator just in case there isn’t enough sun to charge the batteries. The water is heated using a combination of solar heating and wood burning stoves using waste paper briquettes, thus keeping our pollution levels to an absolute minimum. We have dedicated satellite broadband which allows us to offer you free WIFI in the lounge and the Safaricom signal in the camp is good for mobile phones.
