Fisherman’s Camp is situated on the shores of Lake Naivasha, within the spectacular Great Rift Valley of Kenya. The spacious camp extends from under a beautiful canopy of acacia trees up into the hills where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding areas.
Lake Naivasha, meaning ‘rippling waters’ in Masai, is surely one of the most beautiful and accessible places near Nairobi. There is so much to do, with even the way here providing one of the most scenic drives in Kenya.

Location
Fisherman’s Camp is blessed with a prime position on Lake Naivasha, 20km along the South Lake Road from Naivasha Town. Naivasha is an hours’ run from Nairobi on the main Nairobi – Naukuru Highway. This passes spectacular views of the Rift Valley and imposing extinct volcano Longonot as they open out from the road below you.
Lake Naivasha is one of the few fresh water lakes in the Kenya Rift Valley, which is situated at an altitude of 6,200ft. Beyond the lake sits the Kinangop and Aberdare mountains, which reach up to 13,000ft. Behind the surrounding hills of the camp lies Hell’s Gate National Park, which is rich in game, geology and beautiful scenery. Further down South Lake Road is Crater Lake, home to a large stand of flamingo which can be seen circling the water’s edge.
Accommodation
The camp is situated on two levels, with a range of accommodation options to suit a variety of budgets.Bottom Camp offers camping, banda and dormitory accommodation, which is set on the beautiful green lawns at the water’s edge. We have toilets and washing facilities and tents are also available for hire. Candalabra Camp has a range of bandas* and cottages , from basic to self catering, with spectacular views of the lake 200ft below.

Kiboko Cottage: Self contained cottage overlooking Lake Naivasha. 1 double room and one single, Fully equipped kitchen and living room. Situated next to swimming pool.
Kwasi: Self contained double room with fully equipped kitchen, overlooking Lake Naivasha.
Kitete: Self contained room with one double and two singles, overlooking Lake Naivasha.
