Inspired by intimacy, Mara Enkipai comprises of 8 spacious traditional safari tents set on the edge of the Mara River and boasting spectacular views.

Each tent has been comfortably designed with furniture made by the local craftsmen using local material.

Equipped with an en-suite bathroom, you can enjoy a traditional safari shower, as you later fall asleep to the music of the river and the whispers of nature.

At Mara Enkipai, we live in harmony with the environment, so the entire camp is operated using Solar Power.

After 30 years experience in some of the high-end lodges of Kenya, Mzee Zuki has worked for the family for 15 years and has mastered the art of delighting guests and their taste-buds every time he cooks up a meal using freshly grown produce from Mara Enkipai’s vegetable garden.

Lunches and dinners within the camp are carefully prepared and served to you either in the lounge / dining area, by your tent or out in the Savannah. For those who’d prefer to lunch out in the wild, we’ll prepare a picnic lunch for you to take with you.

An outdoor living room has been especially set up by the river for the nature-lovers who’d prefer to enjoy the scenery at it’s best with a good book, a cup of tea or a glass of wine! Afternoon tea and sundowners can be served to you as you spend your day taking it easy.

For the more adventurous types, you could opt to watch or take part in an Olpul, the traditional warrior meat feast.

  • Balloon Safaris – During your stay in the Mara, you might want to consider a Safari From The Air with our Balloon Flight Operator next to our camp. You will leave early in the morning to experience a 60-90 minute flight over the mara plains, viewing the Maasai Mara and it’s amazing game from lows and highs. And finally land to enjoy a superb champagne breakfast.
  • Guided Walks – Take a walk with our Maasai Team to enjoy the beautiful views of the Mara and its nature.
  • Bush Picnics – Take a whole day game drive onto the Mara plains and enjoy a picnic lunch especially prepared by our chef under the acacia tree.
