Midland Hotel is an integral part of Nakuru whose history goes all the way back to the 1900’s. In the early days only 1st class railway passengers were taken-in. Then it was called Nakuru Railway Hotel before becoming Midland Hotel in 1957. Famous personalities like the Queen Mother have been guests here. Today it is a cosmopolitan hotel retaining its old charm in modern setting but upholding the highest standards true to its tradition.
Set on two acres in the heart of Nakuru Town just off the Trans-African Highway, this facility is beautifully located for tourists. All major banks and main streets are a stone throw away. Midland is the hub of the town and a reference point in Nakuru which itself is minutes away from Kenya’s most popular National Park at Lake Nakuru. Nearly every major town and several attractions in western Kenya are within short reach of Nakuru. This makes Midland Hotel an excellent stopping point for those planning onward journeys.
The hotel has over 63 spacious, well pointed rooms all en suit with lovely mahogany furnishing, telephones and televisions in all rooms. 15 of these are on the garden wing, quadrangle which form part of the original construction. Over the years our spit grilled chicken has evolved to become synonymous with our restaurant. Naturally, we have on offer a wide menu to suit every plate including vegetarians. The Midland is famous for good food which you can enjoy in our spacious dining room or out on the terrace. Guests can while the evening away in the garage bar over a game of pool.
