Perched on a coral cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Mombasa Beach Hotel is only a few minutes away from Mombasa’s old town, with its narrow shaded streets, its harbour and the russet coloured bulk of Fort Jesus dominating all around it.
Despite the hotel’s proximity to Mombasa itself, it exudes an air of tranquility, with huge tropical gardens that provide welcome shade in the heat of the day. Here visitors can relax and unwind, undisturbed by the hustle and
bustle of the nearby city.
For the more active there is plenty of opportunity for water sports, with a spectacular tropical beach right on the doorstep. Sailing, goggling, wind surfing and safe ocean swimming can all be enjoyed, while the hotel itself has a superb all weather swimming pool and floodlit tennis court.
The Mombasa Beach Hotel has a hundred and fifty rooms and six suites, all of them air conditioned and facing the ocean.
The variety of five dining areas range from Maxims “A la Carte” Cellar to the informal Beach Bistro, all offering a high standard of cuisine and service. Mombasa Beach Hotel provides “round-the-clock” service.
Trips out to the reef with its magnificent underwater vistas can also be arranged. With the opening of the conference centre, the hotel provides a wide variety of meeting rooms which are able to accommodate up to 200 people in theatre style.
