Pelican House was developed to be a welcome place to stay in Kenya. The front porch looks over a wildlife water pond and out across the grasslands of Africa. The house is a thatched cottage located on the rolling hills between the Mount Kenya and Aberdare National Parks. Located within the protected grounds of the vast natural Ol Pejeta Conservancy; elephants, giraffe, rhinos, lions, hippos, cheetahs, ostriches and antelope have all been seen from the house windows and deck.
Enjoy world famous Kenyan coffee or tea with breakfast as the animals come to drink at the watering hole. Spend the day exploring while on wild animal safaris, visiting the chimps, hiking on Mt Kenya, visiting local traditional tribes or even relaxing in local spas and restaurants. Use the house as a base for volunteer activities with the local healthcare and education providers. In the evening, enjoy a home-cooked supper and sit beside a roaring fire to the discuss the day’s work and adventures.
Fully staffed to make your holiday stress free, cleaning and animal security staff are included; cook staff, food, transportation, childcare, guides and safari vehicle can each or all be arranged easily for one to ten people at very reasonable cost. We can help with your all your special needs. While the house is rented as a self catering property for tax reasons. The recommended personal assistant can help with your entire stay in Kenya; from leading animal safaris to sending emails and photos to arranging food, flights and vehicle transport.

Originally built as a cattle ranch manager’s house the house has been completely renovated on the inside to accommodate visitors
Pelican House is now located within the expansive views of the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a 90000+ acre natural reserve teeming with wildlife.
Reserved and secluded, it has no other development in sight. It is a great location to experience the iconic wildlife and quiet grasslands of the East African savannah.
